Sharné Bailey
BSc(Physio) (WITS), OMT
Sharné Bailey graduated with a BSc (Physio) from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2002.
Sharné has worked in physiotherapy specialties, including paediatrics, medicine and surgery, orthopaedics and sports therapy.
She obtained a Post-Graduate OMT (Orthopaedic Manipulation Therapy) certificate in 2007, before opening her own practice in 2008, where she focused on sports and orthopaedics as well as sports-specific rehabilitation.
Sharné Bailey has also represented South Africa in hockey, with 117 test caps including being selected for the World Cups in Perth (2002) and Madrid (2006), the 2004 Athens Olympics and the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games.
Her experiences of competing at this level have given her deep insights into injury prevention and treatment.
Sharné Bailey formed a successful partnership, Bailey Henchie Physiotherapy Inc, with Bronwen Henchie in 2015.
